Important Security Alert
Peoples Bank is aware that some customers and
non-customers were contacted by an unknown source and instructed to
reactivate their Peoples Bank debit card over the phone by supplying their
account number and pin. This
is a phishing scam, an attempt to collect your personal financial
information in order to commit identity theft or fraud.
We’d like to remind you that you come first at
Peoples Bank and that protecting your personal information is a #1
priority. We
would never ask you for your personal information over the phone—we
already have it! If at
any time you feel you may have fallen victim to a scam, please notify your
local Banking Center as soon as possible.
